Costs change based on the reputation of the clinic, the location of it and you could be looking at between $3500 – $6000 depending on who you choose. This is why some patients will look to go abroad to have the surgery done where the associated costs are much lower.

As mentioned the op doesn’t hurt because you will be asleep but the recovery can be painful and uncomfortable for a short while. You will be given some pain medication to manage for the first couple of days, after that the pain will subside.

Can I Go Home Afterwards?

This will be done as an outpatient but because you will have been sedated you will have to make some plans in terms of getting someone to pick you up after the surgery as you will not be able to drive and the clinic will need to know that someone is looking after you.

You will need to make sure that you avoid aerobic activities for at least 3 weeks after surgery. Working out too early can increase blood pressure and that can cause problems with the healing process so it is best to listen to advice and avoid this .
