Refresh Your Workspace: Tips For The Post-Pandemic Office

The pandemic has brought many businesses to their knees, especially smaller, independent businesses. Being unable to bring in customers or create products can be devastating for some. Companies that need direct, in-person input from workers have taken a beating when being required to close. If you’re one of those that has managed to weather the storm, carrying your business through by adaptation and hard work, it’s likely you’ve already been considering what steps you can take now that things are moving towards normality. Check out our quick guide for some ideas on what you can do to refresh your workspace to keep spirits high and bring your team back into the office.

Update Your Branding
Why not choose to rebrand your business with new signage and logos? Nothing gives a fresher feel than a new look altogether. Without detracting from whatever impression you’ve already made on your customers and clients, consider new color schemes, tag-lines, and a refreshed logo to show that you’ve come out of the other end of the pandemic in style and with growth. Unless you’re very confident with your brand and your followers, it’s best not to change too much to become unrecognizable though!

Switch Up The View
Perhaps you’re a small family-run company, not rooted down to a particular area. Or maybe you don’t yet have a team and are ready to explode your business into a bigger and better form. If this is you, it’s always a good idea to contemplate whether or not you’re in the right location. Maybe, with some research, you’ve found that you’d have a stronger consumer-base in a different state altogether; or perhaps you’re just looking for a better location for your new employees. You could also make a few upgrades to your current premises like painting the walls or upgrading bathroom partitions to give your restrooms a fresher look. Whichever category you fall into, make sure you pick a trustworthy, reliable, and well-situated moving company that not only handles residential moving, but also office moving. For example, Elizabeth’s Moving & Storage, located in Chattanooga, TN, sits in between three interstate highways, providing good access for both short and long moves.

Focus On Wellness
After the past year and a half, our collective mental and physical health has taken a big hit. Not only do you want you employees to be working at max productivity, but they’ve also likely endured pretty distressing things along with everyone else. Showing that you understand that we’re all dealing with this together will promote a healthy and comforting atmosphere for your team. Work out what your team needs and provide a welcoming environment for them in your new office. Comfortable seating and rest areas, as well as health-conscious workstations are incredibly important.

Engage With Your Staff
Most importantly, make sure you engage with your staff more than ever. As mentioned above, it’s been a challenging time mentally, and for those that have suffered with losses, and dealt with the stressful time of being unemployed means that a lot of people will need that extra bit of support. Find ways to improve the mental fortitude of your team, such as wellness sessions, and counselling opportunities. Reassuring your employees and nurturing their abilities is the way of a true leader. This will make for a formidable workforce and a positive and fresh workspace.
